We all had a great night, I think. Thanks again.
Thank you all, I had a great birthday. And I took great pictures thanks to Anja. You’ll see them here as soon as I am done with them all. A little appetizer, though. So, what’s 10F? My seat in my flight back home tomorrow. This will actually be the first time to fly for me so I am a little nervous but as I am kinda studying this I shouldn’t worry. See you guy tomorrow night,...
Sorry for the bad quality, but low light, high iso, my small point and shoot can’t really handle that. Well you can see what you are supposed to see anyways, right?
I got it. My new focusing screen is here. As I stated yesterday I have been to the commons office and got it from there. Actually they told me that it was absolutely unnecessary for me to come, because it was already dispatched and obviously the post made a mistake and sent it there. Thank you Deutsche Post! Anyways I am glad that it’s here and am excited to open it now.
Actually a bunch of new mail. Two letters I’m gonna open the day after tomorrow, but one piece of paper instantly aroused my attention. Whom was it from? The commons office! Yeah, I hadn’t expected that, though I was aware that I had ordered something from within the USA, of cause. In particular this was a new split image focusing screen for my Canon 350D by Haoda Fu. It is a little...
Finally, after some trouble the project I was working on the last weeks is finished. Basically it is a flash animation with some drag’n’drop functionality. I did all the programming and flash-based stuff, Katrin the Illustrations and Carline had the idea and did the text support. But see for yourself:
I was on a concert this weekend of a young and very talented band called Jaminc and took some pictures. I’m pretty happy with the results so I will show them to you right here.
The plan did work. We passed thermodynamics. This is unbelievable, honestly, I wouldn’t have placed a single bet on us, because the exam was really tough. Yeah, awesome, I’m speechless and really happy.
I wanted to take some new pictures of myself today. Well, this is what I got out of it. Kinda funny-mad-gorgeous portrait, isn’t it?
Okay guys, the actual sense of tagging pictures is to describe what’s really in there in order to find the right photographs and not to C&P all your ever used tags onto every single picture you post what makes it impossible to find anything in case you are looking for something in particular. kthanku
I don’t really know. I have plenty of ideas but I am working on them all the same time. This holds me back a little, I guess. I wish I could be more persistent and finally get things done.
I went to get my new ID card yesterday after I got mail that it would be ready for collection. It only took them little more than 2 weeks, I am impressed. Seriously.
I finally have found the song I was looking for some time ago. Unexpectedly. In the intro of “21”, which we watched at RWTH Aachen within the so called “Wissenschafts Herbst Aachen” (Autumn of Science), a weeklong series of events with focus on science and mathematics. (more info) Anyways, the song. It’s “Time to Pretend” by MGMT. Love it. ...
When you work together with other people on certain projects you’ve got to rely on every single person involved at one hundred percent. If you can’t this is a definite reason not to do it again. Await I too much? Is adhering to deadlines, communicate problems, decent communication at all so far beyond the realms of possibility? I am still waiting for illustrations to be sent I was told...
I really don’t want to make this a video blog, but here, again, is a really good video. It is so fundamental that I can’t withhold you from it.
Rebel with a cause - “The T-Shirt as a global story-teller. A simple product shows the complexity and madness of contemporary trading and its global effects.” - A Viral by Kristian Labusga. Taking part in the international viral video awards.
This definitely is something you will want to watch if you are interested in the slightest degree in US Elections. Barack Obama’s victoy speech.
(This is probably the longest headline I ever had) Anyways, here is the story to the picture below. If you are wondering about that picture: go on reading, if not read it anyways because you will learn a little more about my crazy mind… First of all you roughly need to know my timetable. I started university at 8.15 AM in one room with an exercise and ended it with an other exercise in the...
That is something you shouldn’t do. And I will never do it again. On Saturday in this (and some more, but not all) state of Germany Saturday was a holiday. So no store opened. I had totally forgotten about that, but luckily I had still enough food at home to survive the weekend. (I actually planned to go shopping on saturday…) So it made perfect sense to replenish stocks today. Well, I...
Did anybody watch Formula One today? Unbelievable, I say. Hard to beat in excitement. Everything looked like Lewis Hamilton would win the Championship the whole race, but then the rain came and 2 rounds before finishing there is this awesome Sebastian Vettel, who overtakes him and therewith takes Lewis Hamilton the needed point to success. Everything looks like a surprising win of Championship for...
I have been to a housewarming party at Caspar’s with Anne, Christine, Bilal, Don and Joe. Although the start was quite slow (Caspar had just arrived some minutes ago, when we arrived) we managed to build up his desk, tune in some music and have a real nice housewarming party. Here are some of the pictures I made…

It’s November, the year is progressing and so am I. Here. I did some minor but awesome improvements. So you can see now at first glance how many comments a post got, who wrote it and when. Nice, isn’t it? You can also put your email address in the comment and get a notification as soon as anybody answers, too. But there’s one more thing. You might want to scroll down to the...
